Madison Baseball Outscores Lennox and ORR 29-3 in Sunday Doubleheader

Madison baseball earned two wins yesterday, beating Lennox and Oldham-Ramona/Rutland in a doubleheader.

The Bulldogs scored in six out of the seven innings in the 7-1 victory over Lennox. Aspen Dahl had three of the five hits for Madison. He drove in a run, scored twice, and stole a base. He also picked up the win on the mound, going four innings and striking out seven, allowing just two hits. Trey Smith and Colby Vostad also picked up the other two hits. Nate Ricke threw for three relief innings.

In a five-inning, mercy-rule win, Madison beat ORR 21-2. The Bulldogs scored 12 runs on eight hits in the first, including Dahl’s three-run home run. Braxton Bjorklund had a pair of hits, scoring three times and had three RBIs. Ten different Bulldogs had at least one RBI.

Madison is 3-2 and has a doubleheader this Friday afternoon.
