Madison and Colman picked up Cornbelt wins on Thursday
The Colman A’s scored 3 runs in the 2nd, and held a slim lead for the rest of the game, in 7-6 win over the Flandreau Cardinals in Thursday nights Cornbelt Game of the Week on KJAM. Colman scored 7 runs on 11 hits, and were aided by 4 Flandreau errors.
In Madison, Aspen Dahl struck out 15 and Tyler Tappe homered as the Madison Broncos picked up their first Cornbelt win of the season in a 13-3 victory over the Flandreau Blue Teal. Dahl went 6 innings for Madison, giving up 3 runs on 2 hits and 4 walks. At the plate he also had 2 hits and drove in 3. Tappe finished with 2 runs scored and 3 RBI. Madison will host Salem next Thursday.
Also last night, the Humboldt-Hartford Gamecocks defeated the Wood Ducks 4-1.
