Lady Bulldog’s Season Ends at West Central

The Madison Lady Bulldogs basketball season came to an end on Monday night, with a 64-30 loss to West Central in the Region 3A quarterfinals. The Trojans, who came into the game with a 14-6 record, shut down the Bulldogs offense to take control of the game early. West Central held Madison to just 6 points in the 1st quarter, and only 3 points in the 2nd quarter. 

Jazelle Jarding led West Central with 12 points. Tessa VanOverbeke, and Mara Shultz each had 11 for the Trojans. 

Zoey Gerry scored 22 of Madison’s 30 points. Monday night’s loss was the final game of her high school career. Gerry, who scored her 1,000th point as a Bulldog earlier this season, will play basketball next year at Northwestern College in Orange City Iowa. 

The Bulldogs season ends with a record of 4-16. West Central moves on to the Region semifinals against Garretson. That game is scheduled for Thursday night in Garretson.
