Lady Bulldogs Fall to the Dolphins

The Lady Bulldogs dropped their seventh consecutive loss last night, losing on the road at Deubrook Area 65-38. 

Madison was able to keep it close after the first quarter, only down 16-12, but Deubrook went on a six-point run in the first two minutes in the second as they outscored Madison 14-9 in the quarter to take a 30-21 lead into halftime.

Deubrook came out of the half and went on another run, scoring seven unanswered points before Audrey Nelson got Madison on the board in the third quarter. Nelson ignited an 11-2 run for the Bulldogs, scoring the first eight points in the quarter for Madison before Zoey Gerry added a three.

Nelson scored ten points in the third quarter alone.

Despite the run from Madison in the third quarter, the Dolphins outscored the Bulldogs 35-17, as Madison was able to only get four points in the fourth quarter. Deubrook went on to win 65-38. 

Nelson finished with a double-double, scoring a game-leading 16 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Gerry ended the night with 17 points and five rebounds. Karley Lurz added five points for the Bulldogs.

Skyla Peterson led the Dolphins in scoring with 15 points.

The loss dropped the Lady Bulldogs to a 3-11 overall record, and they will be looking to end their current seven game losing streak Friday night when they travel to West Central. Game is scheduled to start at 7:30pm, and can be heard on AM 1390 or online at AmazingMadison.com.
