In a tight affair throughout on Tuesday night, the Chamberlain Cubs scored the final two buckets of the contest to defeat Madison 41-38, in Class A Girls basketball. Trailing 37-32 in the fourth quarter, the Lady Bulldogs got a pair of three’s to take a one point advantage with under two minutes left. Host Chamberlain quickly recaptured the lead with a quick layup and added one more to take the three point lead. A pair of missed free throws with around one second left gave Madison a chance but they were unable to get a shot off in time.

Zoey Gerry scored 16 points and Sophia Vanden Bosch finished with eight. The loss was the second-in-a-row for Madison, who fell to 5-6 on the season. They will return to action on Friday, hosting Tea Area.
