Friday, May 27, was Day Two of the State Track and Field Meet in Sioux Falls at Howard Wood Field. For the Lady Bulldogs, Audrey Nelson placed second in the Class A High Jump, with a jump of 5’6, only one inch behind Ashley Kopaul from Wagner who placed first. Nelson’s jump broke her own school record by one inch.
In the Class A Girls Pole Vault, Madison had two athletes place top eight, with Kylie Krusemark placing third with a vault of 10’6 while improving on her own school record by 2”. Ella Peterreins tied for sixth at 9’.
For the boys, the Madison team that consisted of Aspen Dahl, Nate Ricke, Mike Peters, and Kadin Hanscom placed fifth for the Class A 4×200 Prelims with a time of 1:33:96. Eight teams advance to the finals, with the top finisher in each heat and the next five best times advancing.
The State Meet will conclude today, Saturday May 28.
