Bulldogs Pick Up 2-1 Home Victory

The Madison baseball team picked up their sixth win of the season last night, winning a 2-1 pitchers duel against Warner-Ipswich-Northwestern.
Madison scored their lone two runs of the game in the bottom of the second and third innings, and kept Warner-Ipswich-Northwestern scoreless for five innings, before they scored a run in the top of the sixth.Â
The Bulldogs didn’t allow another run though the rest of the way, grabbing the 2-1 win after allowing only three hits. The Bulldogs, meanwhile, had seven hits and also only had two errors compared to four.
Lucas Mork grabbed the win on the mound for Madison, lasting seven innings of three hit ball and one run, while also striking out 12 and walking zero.
Taking the loss for Warner-Ipswich-Northwestern was Ashton Remily. He allowed seven hits and two runs, while striking out five and walking one.Â
Braxton Bjorklund went 2-3 at the plate to lead Madison in hits.
Madison will play for the third straight day this evening when they host Miller at 7pm.
