Bulldogs Drop Out of Top Five in Poll

In this week’s SDFBCA coaches poll, the Madison Bulldogs dropped out of the top five after losing their second straight home game on Friday night. 

The 34-28 loss that Madison suffered to Sioux Falls Christian during Madison’s homecoming game not only dropped the Bulldogs to 1-3, but also allowed the Chargers to take over the fifth spot originally held by the Bulldogs. 

Madison, having just won the 11A State Championship a year ago, has now lost three games to 11A teams, with their lone victory coming against Milbank this year. 

Besides the fifth place swap between Madison and Sioux Falls Christian, no other changes were made to the top five. The full SDFBCA coaches poll can be found below. 

Things will not get easier for the struggling Bulldogs, as they will travel to play Dakota Valley (3-1) this Friday, September 23rd.
