Bulldogs Close Out Regular Season With Road Win

Last night, the Madison Bulldogs boys basketball team ended their regular season with a big 61-47 victory over Viborg-Hurley.

The Bulldogs never trailed in the game after getting the early lead over the Cougars, taking a 38-23 lead into halftime.

Despite the Cougars attempts in the second half, the closest Madison came to giving up their lead was when Viborg-Hurley got within five points in the third quarter. However, the Bulldogs closed out the game to get a 61-47 victory, handing the Cougars only their third loss of the season.

Aiden Jensen led the way for Madison with 20 points. Two other Bulldogs reached double-digits, with Ben Brooks scoring 14 and Eli Barger adding 12 points.

With the win, the Bulldogs end the regular season with back-to-back wins to finish with a 12-8 overall record.

After locking up the three seed, Madison will play Baltic in the first round of the Region 3A Playoffs on Tuesday, February 28th at 7pm, with the game being aired on AM 1390 or online at AmazingMadison.com.
