Bulldog volleyball stages 10 point comeback for a three set win over Arlington

MHS Volleyball won for the second time in as many matches on Tuesday, defeating Arlington 3-0 at the Madison High School Gym. Madison cruised to wins in the first two sets, winning 25-15 and 25-13. Arlington opened up a big lead in set three, going up at one point 18-8. But the Bulldogs battled back, tying the set at 24-24. From there the teams traded set points until Madison finally picked up a 30-28 win to take the match. 

Freshman Jaya Engles led Madison with 14 kills and 12 digs. Lydia Nelson also had a double-double with 13 kills and 11 digs. Nelson also added 4 blocks and 3 aces. Karley Theede had 23 set assists and a block in the win. 

Madison improved to 4-8 on the season, while Arlington fell to 5-10. Madison will travel to Tri-Valley on Thursday to take on the Mustangs.
