Bulldog Softball dominates in SoDak 16, now on to State

The Madison Bulldogs Softball team qualified for the State Tournament, after defeating Ethan-Parkston in the SoDak 16 on Wednesday. Madison needed just 3 innings to pick up a 15-0 win. The Bulldogs scored 3 runs in the first inning, then 6 each in the second and third innings. Amanda Vacanti had a home run, 2 runs, and 2 RBI. Karly Lurz scored 3 times, and Aubri Tobkin drove in 5. Ella Malone and Evie Lurz also had multiple hits for the Bulldogs. 

Madison is now 15-4 on the season, and will enter the State Softball Tournament as the #4 seed. The Bulldogs will take on #5 Tri-Valley in the quarterfinals on Thursday, May 30th, at 12:30pm. Madison defeated the Mustangs earlier this year 13-0. The Class A State Softball tournament will be held at the Players Softball Complex in Aberdeen.
