The Madison Boys Basketball team dropped a game to Double-A Harrisburg on Saturday afternoon, 81-57, at the Pentagon. Madison was unable to keep up with the sharp-shooting Tigers, as their four game win streak was halted and were handed their fourth loss of the season. Tyler Tappe poured in 20 points and four rebounds, both Carter Bergheim and Cody Brown had nine points and Aspen Dahl collected in six rebounds. 

Madison Boys are in the midst of six straight road games and will be back in action tomorrow at West Central.

 

Meanwhile, the Madison Girls lost a thrilling match-up to Sisseton in overtime, 67-64. Playing in the Dakota Twelve – NEC Challenge at the Madison High School, the Lady Bulldogs found themselves down at halftime, 31-25. They stormed back to take a three point lead after three and the game was tied at 52 all at the end of regulation. Sisseton then outscored Madison by three in the extra frame, sending MHS to its second straight loss. 

Kendra Leighton had a big game, scoring 24 points, while Briana Steuerwald had 11. The Madison Girls, now 6-9 on the season, will be back in action on Friday in a game versus Flandreau that was rescheduled from earlier in the season.
