Bulldog Football Hands Out Awards At Annual Banquet
Wrapping up the 2020 Fall football season, the Madison Bulldogs held their awards ceremony this past week. Trey Smith was named MVP, Carter Bergheim was named Offensive MVP, Zach Whitlock was named Defensive MVP and hardest hitter. Amongst other awards, Riley Ruerink was named outstanding lineman plus Bergheim, Connor Hivley, Thomas Mallett and Logan Albee were Academic All-State.
Also of note, Bergheim became the all-time Bulldog receptionist with 113 in his career. Trey Smith also set the record for tackles in the season for MSH with 137. Zach Whitlock moved into 3rd place all time with 263 career tackles behind Marcus VandenBosch & Jadon Janke. Madison finished 6-5 with an appearance in the 11A semi-finals.
