Bulldog Baseball Team Defeats Wolsey/Wessington Springs/South Central

The Madison Bulldog Baseball team was in action Wednesday night at Wessington Spring.  The  Bulldogs grabbed an early lead on their  way to a 12-5 victory over Wolsey/Wessington Springs/South Central.  The Bulldogs secured the victory with 9 runs in the 2nd second inning.  Nathan Ricke earned the victory on the hill for Madison. The righthander lasted four innings, allowing three hits and two runs while striking out seven.  Riley Kearin started the game for the Bulldog. The lefty lasted three innings, allowing three hits and three runs while striking out three

Madison racked up 12 hits. Ty Jorgenson, Peyton Wolf, and  Zach Whitlock each collected multiple hits for the Bulldogs Varsity with Whitlock hitting a home run.

The Bulldogs will be in Webster Sunday for a 5pm game.

The Madison JV dropped both ends of the doubleheader to Brookings on Wednesday.  Losing the first game 10-4 and the second game 7-5.  The next action for the Madison JV baseball team will be Saturday when they travel to Humboldt for a doubleheader with West Central at 10am and 12pm
