The Madison City Commission holds its regular weekly meeting later today. Commissioners will hold a public hearing on and second reading of an amendment to the city’s zoning ordinances regarding adding retail meat markets to principal permitted uses in Highway Business zones. Also on the agenda is a funding agreement with the state Department of Transportation for the Highway Infrastructure Program or Bridge Replacement and Rehabilitation. Commissioners are also scheduled to adopt a resolution approving the creation by Lake County of a Tax Increment Financing District within the City of Madison, and set a bid date for equipment for the city’s wastewater treatment facility.
A discussion on the city’s 2020 budget will be held at the end of today’s meeting. The Madison City Commission meeting begins at 5:30 in the commission room in Madison City Hall.
