Wentworth woman injured in accident Wednesday

A Wentworth woman was injured in a two vehicle accident east of Madison on Wednesday morning.  

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash just before 7:40 Wednesday morning at the intersection of 233rd Street and 457th Avenue.  

The Sheriff’s Office reports that 58-year-old Marie Lohsandt of Wentworth was driving a 2016 Toyota Highlander westbound on 233rd Street when she collided with 36-year-old Jeff Hahn of Egan.  Hahn was driving a 2014 GMC pickup truck north on 457th Avenue and failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection with 233rd Street.  

Lohsandt suffered minor injuries and was treated and released from Madison Regional Health System. Hahn was not injured and was cited for Failing to Stop.  

Other agencies assisting with the accident were the Madison Police and Fire Departments, Madison Ambulance, and the Wentworth Fire Department.
