Lake County reports one new positive COVID-19 case Wednesday and one more recovered, keeping the number of active cases currently in the county at four. The total number of positive cases in the county is at 105, with 96 of them recovered and five deaths. There have been 986 negative coronavirus tests in Lake County.
The state Department of Health reports 123 new positive COVID-19 cases statewide Wednesday and one more death, putting the total number of deaths from the virus at 155. There are currently 1222 active COVID-19 cases in the state, and 55 people are hospitalized.
Elsewhere in our area as of Wednesday, Brookings County has 20 active cases, McCook County has seven, Moody County has four active cases, and Kingsbury County has one.
