Wednesday COVID-19 update: Ten new positive cases in Lake County; 876 in state & three deaths
Lake County reports another ten new positive COVID-19 cases Wednesday. This puts the overall total number of cases in Lake County at 270, with 206 of them recovered and eight total deaths. Active cases in Lake County increased to 56 Wednesday. Thirteen people in the county have ever been hospitalized because of COVID-19.
Three new COVID-19 deaths are being reported Wednesday in the state by the state Department of Health, bringing the total number of virus-related deaths to 291. Statewide, new positive COVID-19 cases increased by 876, to a total statewide of 30-thousand-215. The number of active cases statewide also increased to more than 66-hundred Wednesday, and 303 people are currently hospitalized.
Elsewhere in our area, the number of active cases currently in McCook County is at 57, and Moody County is at 50. There are 38 active COVID-19 cases in Miner County as of Wednesday, and 31 in Kingsbury County. Brookings County currently has 226 active COVID-19 cases.
