Thirty more COVID-19 deaths are being reported Wednesday in the state.  This puts the state’s total number of virus-related deaths now at 674.  The state Department of Health reports close to 14-hundred new positive COVID-19 cases Wednesday, along with more than 19-thousand active cases.  593 people are currently hospitalized because of the virus.

Lake County reports eight additional positive COVID-19 cases Wednesday and four recovered cases.  The county’s number of active cases is now at 230, with 28 residents who have ever been hospitalized. 

Area counties with an increase in active COVID-19 cases Wednesday include McCook County with 198 cases, Kingsbury County with 140, and Brookings County reports 529 active COVID-19 cases.  Moody County’s number of active cases remained steady Wednesday at 112, and Miner County went down one to 36 active cases.
