Three more COVID-19 deaths are being reported in the state Wednesday, putting the state’s death toll now at 1904.  Meanwhile, the state Department of Health is reporting more than 200 new positive COVID-19 cases.  Active cases and hospitalizations increased Wednesday as well.  There are currently just less than 21-hundred active cases and 71 people hospitalized because of the virus.

Lake County reports two new positive COVID-19 cases and two recovered cases.  The county’s number of active cases remains at 43.  McCook County has 17 active cases Wednesday, Kingsbury and Miner counties each have 11, and Moody County reports six active COVID-19 cases.  Brookings County now has 65 active cases as of Wednesday. 

The state Department of Health reports that 30-percent of the state’s population has received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while 16-percent have received both doses.
