The state Department of Health reports 277 new positive COVID-19 cases in the state Wednesday.  No new virus-related deaths are being reported, and the number of active COVID-19 cases and the number of people hospitalized has decreased.  As of Wednesday, there are just more than 41-hundred active cases in the state and 195 people are currently hospitalized because of the virus. 

Lake County reports six new positive COVID-19 cases Wednesday, along with four recovered cases.  The county now has 54 active COVID-19 cases.

Elsewhere in our area, Moody County reports 37 active cases, Kingsbury County has 30, and Miner County reports 26 active coronavirus cases.  McCook County has 16 active, and Brookings has 219 active COVID-19 cases.
