Charges are pending against the driver of a vehicle that lost some of its load and damaged several vehicles east of Madison on Highway 34 on Friday afternoon.  At around 4:30 Friday afternoon, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a vehicle traveling east on Highway 34 that lost some of it’s load, causing damage to vehicles traveling in that area.  During the investigation, Sheriff’s deputies learned that the vehicle, driven by 83-year-old Earl Brown of Dell Rapids, had been traveling east on the highway. Brown was driving a 1990 Chevy pick-up pulling a flat bed trailer which had part of it’s load shift and subsequently drop all over the highway.  The Sheriff’s Office said several vehicles did get damage from the debris on the roadway.
