Two positive COVID-19 cases were reported Wednesday in the Madison Central School District.  Superintendent Joel Jorgenson notified parents that a student or staff member at Madison Elementary and also at Madison High School have tested positive for COVID-19.  He said parents of those students considered to be close contacts to the positive cases will be notified by e-mail and a phone call.  

There have been a total of 77 positive COVID-19 cases within the district since the first case was identified in September. 

In information updated weekly by the Madison Central School District, there are a total of seven active COVID-19 cases in the district at this time.  Five of those cases are students and two are staff members.  The students include one in Madison Middle School and four in Madison High School.  Overall, there are 43 recovered student cases and 27 recovered staff cases in the district.
