Two People Arrested after Madison Police Department Issue Search Warrant

On June 28th the Madison Police Department responded to many reports involving vehicles being entered into, including stolen property, and vandalism of the vehicle.  In total, there were 14 vehicles entered and 3 reports of Intentional Damage to Property. That led to the Madison Police Department executing a search warrant on the evening of June 30th on Southwest 4th St. with numerous stolen items including a handgun recovered during the search.

Arainna Crenshaw, a 20 year old Madison resident, was arrested and charged with Grand Theft of a Firearm, 6 counts of Criminal Entry of a Motor Vehicle, 3 counts of Intentional Damage to Property, Grand Theft, Possession of Burglary Tools, and 3rd Degree Burglary.  Crenshaw is now in custody at the Lake County Jail. 

Also William East, an 18 year old Sioux Falls resident, was arrested and charged with Grand Theft of a Firearm, Criminal Entry of a Motor Vehicle, and Possession of Stolen Property.  East is presently out on bond. 

Right now the investigation is ongoing and additional charges could be upcoming in the future. 

All of the vehicles that were entered were unlocked.  The Madison Police Department would like to remind everyone to be sure to lock their vehicles and hide valuables when leaving their vehicle unattended.
