Two more COVID-19 deaths reported and active cases increase in SD Thursday

Positive COVID-19 cases in the state increased by 126 Thursday, putting the state’s total positive cases now at just more than 29-hundred. The state Department of Health is also reporting two more virus-related deaths, both from Minnehaha County.  

The number of current active cases in the state has increased as well – now at 846, with 70 people currently hospitalized because of COVID-19.

Other area counties with current active cases include Moody County with 7, and Brookings County with one active case at this time.
