Two COVID-19 deaths reported in Lake County; active cases statewide approach 25K

Two additional Lake County residents have died with COVID-19.  On Thursday, the state Department of Health reported ten more COVID-19 deaths, including two in Lake County.  The total number of deaths now in the state is at 2544 since the start of the pandemic.

Active cases increased Thursday statewide by more than 22-hundred to a total of 24,796, and hospitalizations increased to 343.  

In Lake County Thursday, the number of active cases surpassed 200 to 211.  Active COVID-19 cases also increased to more than one-thousand in Brookings County, while Moody County increased to 140 and McCook County to 132.  Kingsbury County reported 94 active COVID-19 cases as of Thursday, and Miner County had 38.
