Three additional COVID-19 deaths were reported in the state Tuesday, including one each in Moody and Kingsbury counties.  Overall, the state has reported a total of 1973 deaths since the start of the pandemic.  

The state reported more than 220 new positive COVID-19 cases Tuesday.  Active cases were down to 1445 and 103 people are currently hospitalized in the state because of the virus.

Lake County did not report any new positive COVID-19 cases yesterday, but did have one new recovered case.  There are now 17 active coronavirus cases in Lake County.

Elsewhere in the area, Kingsbury County had 11 active cases, Miner and Moody counties each had eight, and McCook County reported six active COVID-19 cases.  Brookings County reported 82 active cases as of Tuesday.

The state Department of Health reported Tuesday also that just more than 55-percent of the state’s eligible population had received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while close to 48-percent were fully vaccinated.Â
