Tuesday COVID-19 update: State reports 80 new positive cases; no new cases in Lake County
No new positive COVID-19 cases are being reported in Lake County Tuesday. The state Department of Health’s daily update shows Lake County at 108 total positive cases, with 97 recovered cases and six deaths. This means there are currently five active COVID-19 cases in Lake County.
Other area counties did not see significant changes in their COVID-19 numbers Tuesday, according to the state. Brookings County remains at 35 active cases, Moody County has eight, McCook County has five active, and Kingsbury County has four.
Statewide, an additional 80 new positive COVID-19 cases are being reported. The state’s overall total of positive cases to date is just more than 11-thousand-500, with 1530 of them still active as of Tuesday. There are currently 53 people hospitalized, and 161 people have died from COVID-19.
