The state Department of Health reported more than 260 new positive COVID-19 cases in the state on Tuesday.  Active cases and hospitalizations in the state both increased Tuesday, and there were no new deaths reported.  

Lake County reported one new positive COVID-19 case Tuesday and two recovered cases.  The number of active cases in Lake County is now at 37.

Elsewhere in our area, Kingsbury County reported 56 active coronavirus cases as of Tuesday, McCook County had 11, Moody County-6, and Miner County reported three active cases.  Brookings County’s number of active cases increased to 186 Tuesday.

The Madison Central School District reported one new positive COVID-19 case yesterday.  Superintendent Joel Jorgenson said that a student or staff member at Madison Middle School had tested positive for COVID-19.  He said though that there are no close contacts for the school district.
