The state Department of Health reported more than 150 new positive COVID-19 cases Tuesday, as the state’s overall number of positive cases in the past year nears the 114-thousand mark.  No new virus-related deaths were reported Tuesday.  The number of active cases and number of people hospitalized because of COVID-19 both increased on Tuesday. 

Lake County reported two new positive COVID-19 cases, along with two recovered cases, so the county’s number of active cases remained at 43.

Elsewhere in the area, McCook County reported 15 active COVID-19 cases, Kingsbury County had 13, and Miner and Moody counties each reported 11 active cases Tuesday.  Brookings County had 67 active COVID-19 cases.
