Tuesday COVID-19 update: 202 new positive cases statewide; 2 in Lake County
The state Department of Health reports just more than 200 new positive COVID-19 cases Tuesday. The state reports no new virus-related deaths, and active cases decreased to just more than 34-hundred. The number of people hospitalized also decreased to 152 Tuesday.
Lake County reports two new positive COVID-19 cases and five recovered cases Tuesday, bringing the county’s number of active cases down some to 54.
Area counties also report a decrease in active COVID-19 cases. Moody County has 32 active cases, Kingsbury County reports 26, and Miner County has 20 active coronavirus cases. McCook County reports ten active COVID-19 cases as of Tuesday, and Brookings County has 161.
So far, the state reports more than 59-thousand people have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while close to 19-thousand of those having received both vaccine doses.
