Tuesday COVID-19 update: 128 new positive cases in state; 4 in Lake County
The number of people hospitalized because of COVID-19 increased slightly in daily information released by the state Department of Health. 70 people are being reported as hospitalized, and there are 128 new positive COVID-19 cases statewide. Active cases in the state remained steady at more than 22-hundred, and there are no new virus-related deaths. Â
Lake County reports four new positive COVID-19 cases Tuesday and no new recovered cases. This puts Lake County’s total number of positive cases at 1270, recovered cases at 1189, and 18 residents have died because of COVID-19. There are currently 63 active cases in Lake County.
Elsewhere in our area, Kingsbury County reports 25 active cases, McCook County-17, and Miner County – 10 active coronavirus cases. Moody County has four active cases at this time, and Brookings County reports 95.
