Trinity Lutheran Church celebrating special anniversary Sunday

A Madison church will be celebrating a special anniversary on Sunday.  Trinity Lutheran Church in Madison is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the dedication of it’s sanctuary.  The celebration takes place at both services on Sunday morning at 8:45 and 11:00, and will include special guest Bishop Constanze Hagmaier, who is a former pastor at Trinity.

Gene Hexom, a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church said that the sanctuary was actually completed in 1920, but the church was not able to hold its anniversary celebration until this year because of the pandemic.  He said the congregation itself has been a part of Madison for even longer than that.

Hexom said that Trinity now has around 16-hundred baptized members.

Trinity Lutheran Church has undergone many renovations and updates throughout its history, but Hexom said there are some things that the current and future generations should remember.

Hexom said that all are welcome to join Trinity in its celebration on Sunday.  The services again are at 8:45 and 11:00 and there will be cake and coffee served in between the two services.
