Active COVID-19 cases in the state decreased, while the number of hospitalizations increased in updated daily information Thursday from the state Department of Health.  The state reported just more than 17-hundred active cases and 115 people hospitalized.  No new COVID-19 deaths were reported Thursday, but there were 134 new positive cases in the state.

Lake County did not report any new positive COVID-19 cases yesterday, but did report one more recovered case, putting the county’s number of active cases at 23.  

The only area county to report an increase in active cases Thursday was Moody County with 13.  Kingsbury County had 16 active coronavirus cases, McCook County reported six, and Miner County had two active cases.  Brookings County reported 115 active COVID-19 cases.
