Thursday was another record setting day for the number of new positive COVID-19 cases in the state.  The state Department of Health announced 747 new positive cases.  Of those, 502 cases were reported as being from the previous 24-hours, but there was also an additional 245 positive cases reported from previous days’ testing that hadn’t been logged into the state’s reporting system.  Also on Thursday, the state reported another thirteen virus-related deaths, bringing the state’s total number of deaths to 236.  There are currently more than 38-hundred active cases in the state and 214 people who are hospitalized. 

On Thursday, Lake County reported five more positive COVID-19 cases and four additional recovered cases.  The county now has 206 positive cases, with 166 of them recovered and seven total deaths.  This puts the number of active COVID-19 cases in Lake County at 33 as of Thursday.  

Also as of Thursday, Brookings County reported 104 active cases, McCook County had 32, and Moody County had 25 active COVID-19 cases.  Kingsbury County currently has 14 active cases, and Miner County has six.
