Another 31 COVID-19 deaths are being reported by the state Department of Health Thursday, putting the state’s total number of virus-related deaths at 705.  

More than one-thousand new positive COVID-19 cases are also being reported Thursday, with a decrease in active cases of close to 14-hundred.  578 South Dakota residents are currently hospitalized because of COVID-19.

In Lake County, eleven new positive cases are being reported Thursday, along with 28 recovered cases.  Lake County now has 213 active COVID-19 cases.  

In our area, McCook County reports one of the new deaths Thursday, and 186 active cases.  Kingsbury County has 135 active COVID-19 cases, and Moody County has 110.  Miner County reports 37 active cases Thursday, and Brookings County has 491.
