The state Department of Health reported one more COVID-19 death Thursday, putting the state’s total number of virus-related deaths at 1949.  Another 234 new positive COVID-19 cases were also reported Thursday.  Active cases in the state decreased some to just more than 23-hundred, and 109 people were hospitalized because of the virus.

Lake County reported one new positive COVID-19 case and three recovered cases yesterday.  The county has had a total of 1339 positive cases since the start of the pandemic, 1289 recovered cases, and 18 deaths.  There were 32 active coronavirus cases in Lake County as of Thursday.  

Elsewhere in the area, Kingsbury County reported 53 active COVID-19 cases yesterday, McCook County had 8, Moody County-7, and Miner County reported three active cases.  Brookings County had 188 active COVID-19 cases.
