Three new positive COVID-19 cases reported in Lake County over weekend; 392 new positive cases statewide

The state Department of Health reported close to four-hundred new positive COVID-19 cases in the state over the weekend.  Positive cases increased by a record daily amount of more than 250 on Saturday.  The increase puts the state’s total number of positive coronavirus cases now at more than 11-thousand.  Of those, 1551 cases are active at this time, 62 people are hospitalized, and there have been 161 deaths.  

The state reported three additional positive COVID-19 cases in Lake County since Friday, and two more recovered cases.  Six Lake County residents have died of COVID-19.  There are currently five active cases in the county.  

More new positive COVID-19 cases were reported this weekend also in McCook, Moody, Kingsbury, and Brookings counties.  Brookings County currently has 35 active coronavirus cases, McCook and Moody counties each have seven, and Kingsbury County has four active cases.
