Thirteen COVID-19 deaths reported in state on Monday

The state Department of Health updated the state’s COVID-19 information on its website on Monday after the Christmas holiday.  Monday’s report includes data from 1:00 pm. on Wednesday, December 22nd to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 23rd.  Another thirteen COVID-19 deaths were reported Monday, putting the state’s total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic at 2469.  Active cases statewide yesterday were at just more than 72-hundred, while 244 people were hospitalized with the virus.

Lake County reported 126 active COVID-19 cases Monday, and Moody County had 65.  McCook County reported 56 active coronavirus cases, Kingsbury County had 29, and Miner County reported ten active cases.  Brookings County had 240 active COVID-19 cases as of Monday.
