Thill submits nominating petition for Madison City Commission seat
The first nominating petition has been filed for this year’s Madison City Commission election. Madison City Finance Officer Sonya Wilt said Tuesday that Robert Thill submitted his nominating petition for re-election to his position on the commission.
Friday was the first day that anyone interested in seeking a seat on the Madison City Commission or Madison Central School Board could start circulating nominating petitions. Thill’s seat on the city commission is up for election this year, along with Mike Waldner. The two seats open on the Madison Central School Board are those of Lori Schultz and Steve Nelson. City commissioners and school board members all serve three-year terms.
Petitions for the Madison City Commission, as well as the Madison Central School Board, election are due to their respective offices by February 26th. A joint city and school board election is scheduled for April 13th.
