State’s technical institutes moving to online course delivery
As the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in South Dakota increases, the state’s four technical colleges will continue to provide course delivery online through the remainder of the semester.
The faculty and staff at the state’s four technical institutes will rely on simulation software, online lectures, video demonstrations, and other virtual tools to move through the next several weeks.
The four campuses of Lake Area Technical Institute in Watertown, Mitchell Technical Institute, Southeast Technical Institute, and Western Dakota Technical Institute in Rapid City will be closed to the public through at least May 1st.
The graduation ceremonies at all four technical institutions will be adjusted, with further details shared as decisions are finalized.
Individual institutions will continue sending pertinent information directly to their students, faculty, and staff.
