State Senate passes two DSU-related bills

The state Senate passed a couple of bills last week associated with Dakota State University’s new athletics complex.  Senate Bill 34 authorizes DSU to sell property located near the site of the new athletics complex.  District 8 Senator Casey Crabtree of Madison explains what is included in that bill.

The bill passed through the Senate by a unanimous vote.

The other bill – Senate Bill 93 – allows for an increased appropriation for the construction costs of the DSU Athletics complex.  Crabtree said that this is due to inflation.

Senate Bill 93 passed on a 34-to-1 vote in the state Senate last week.

Both bills will now go through the state House of Representatives for approval.
