State reports one COVID-19 death; Lake County has one new positive case Tuesday

One more COVID-19 death was reported in the state Tuesday, along with just less than one-hundred new positive cases.  The state Department of Health reported the number of active cases statewide had dropped down to just more than 700, with 60 people currently hospitalized because of the virus. 

Lake County reported one new positive COVID-19 case and one recovered case.  The county remained at ten active cases as of Tuesday.

Area counties’ number of active coronavirus cases either decreased some or remained steady yesterday.    

The state Department of Health also reported that just more than 51-percent of the state’s population eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine had completed their vaccination series. 57-percent had received at least one dose.
