A Lake County resident has died from COVID-19.  

In the state Department of Health’s daily report Tuesday, three more COVID-19 related deaths are being reported in Lake, Minnehaha, and Pennington counties.  The deaths include one man and two women.  One is a resident in the 50’s age group and the other two are in the 80’s age group.  The state Department of Health does not release additional individual information about those who die from COVID-19.  

With the three new deaths reported Tuesday, the state’s total number of residents who have died from COVID-19 is now at 68.

The state reports 52 new positive coronavirus cases Tuesday, bringing the overall total to more than 55-hundred.  Of those positive cases, 972 are active and 90 are currently hospitalized.

Lake County continues to have three active COVID-19 cases Tuesday and reports 424 negative tests.  Kingsbury and Moody counties also each report three active cases, Miner County has two, and McCook County has one active case currently.  Brookings County now has eight active COVID-19 cases.
