State reports additional COVID-19 death Tuesday
One more South Dakota resident has died from COVID-19. The state Department of Health reports Tuesday the death of a Minnehaha County resident, putting the state’s total number of COVID-19 related deaths at 98.
The number of people hospitalized because of the virus increased Tuesday as well to 64. The state reports 58 new positive COVID-19 cases Tuesday. There are currently 875 active cases of COVID-19 in the state.
Lake County continues to have three active COVID-19 cases at this time. McCook County has five active cases, and Miner and Moody counties each have four. Brookings County currently has 25 active COVID-19 cases.
