State reports 95 new positive COVID-19 cases & 1 death Friday

The state Department of Health is reporting 95 new positive cases of COVID-19 Friday, which now brings the state’s total to 3887.  The number of people who have recovered from the virus also increased Friday, putting the number of active cases currently in the state at 1269.  

The state is reporting one more COVID-19 related death in Minnehaha County.  Minnehaha County has had 39 people die  from the virus out of the 44 deaths statewide. 

There are currently 80 people hospitalized because of COVID-19.

Data from our area remains relatively the same as of Friday, with still one active case in Lake County and 183 negative tests.  McCook County also has one active case at this time, and Moody County has 8 active cases.
