State reports 42 additional positive COVID-19 cases Monday

Another 42 positive COVID-19 cases are being reported in the state Monday.  The state Department of Health reports that as of Monday the total number of positive cases in the state is 7105.  Of those cases, 945 of them are active at this time.  The state reports that 59 people are currently hospitalized because of COVID-19, and there have been a total of 97 deaths from the virus.  

The state isn’t reporting much change in numbers for Lake or area counties as of Monday.  Lake County remains at 22 cases overall, with 18 of them recovered and one death, so there are currently three active COVID-19 cases.  There have been 681 negative tests in Lake County.

McCook County currently has five active coronavirus cases, and Miner and Moody counties each have four.  Brookings County increased to 27 active COVID-19 cases as of Monday.
