One more positive COVID-19 case has been reported Thursday in Lake County, moving the total number of positive cases now to three in the county with one who has recovered from the virus. The state Department of Health also has reported a new positive coronavirus case in Moody County Thursday. The state is not reporting community spread in either Lake or Moody counties at this time.
Overall, there are 143 more positive COVID-19 cases reported Thursday in the state, and one more death from the virus of a male in his 60’s from Minnehaha County. Minnehaha County has 131 additional positive cases Thursday, bringing its overall total to 1065, while Lincoln County has 71. The state is reporting that there are now a total of 598 employees of Smithfield Foods in Sioux Falls who have tested positive, along with 135 people who have had contact with these employees.
The total number of those in the state who have recovered from the virus increased to 373, and there have been a total of 55 people hospitalized.
