State reports 2631 total positive COVID-19 cases, 811 are active

Just more than one-hundred positive cases of COVID-19 were reported in the state over the weekend.  The state’s total number of positive cases is now 2631, with 1799 of them recovered.  The state Department of Health reports the number of active cases in the state as of Sunday at 811, and 71 people are currently hospitalized because of the virus.  21 people in the state have died from COVID-19.

Active cases in our area include one in Lake County, where there have been four total cases with three of them recovered.  Lake County has had 140 negative tests as of Sunday.

Also in our area, Moody County currently has five active cases.  

Minnehaha and Lincoln Counties together currently have 722 of the active cases in the state.
