State reports 125 new positive COVID-19 cases; active cases and hospitalizations decrease

The number of active COVID-19 cases and people hospitalized with the virus both decreased on Tuesday.  The state Department of Health reported 11-hundred active cases and 66 people hospitalized.  There were 125 new positive coronavirus cases in the state, and no new deaths reported.  

The number of active COVID-19 cases in Lake and several other area counties were reported in the single digits as of Tuesday.  Lake County reported two more recovered cases yesterday, bringing the number of active cases in the county down to nine.  

As far as COVID-19 vaccinations, 56-percent of the state’s eligible population had received at least one dose as of yesterday, while close to 50-percent had completed their vaccination series.
